Dear Ponderosa / P.O.R.C.H. followers,
It is the end of April and Summer is coming soon.
This year we are having more artists engaging and promoting themselves
and less programming.
Apply for the CREAP workshops - Our new future development focuses around more artists in residence at ponderosa!

July workshops are filling up so consider
CREAP workshops week 1, 2 or 3!
CREAP stands for creative engaged artists of ponderosa.
Our Artists in Residence will provide great classes, a professional working atmosphere and a continuous dialogue around seeing, making and being in each other’s performances.
There will be Release Techniques, Contact Improvisation, Aerial work, Tai Chi, Creation/ Installations/Activating spaces, Hip Hop/ Contemporary,
music & performance work, composition and improvisational theater.
Read through the descriptions of each individual artist and you will have a sense of what may come up.
The CREAPS are the next generation, the up and coming or the already cream of the crop-performance artists who are out there making their work happen.
There are still places in the workshops with
Eszter Gal & Peter Pleyer, Jules Beckman, Kirstie Simson,Pipaluk Supernova and Saliq Savage.
We have added one more workshop this summer!
August 12-16 - Articulating Disorientation with Jeremy Wade

And what's up with the Kundalini?
Reality can be boring. We are all in it and we all do it.
We are promoting Kundalini Yoga as the yoga of choice at ponderosa for many reasons. The music can be awful and ridiculous,
the Kriyas can be filled with bouncing, shaking, fake smiles, technical Mudras, heavy duty leg lifts and sometimes the good old sun salutation,
but it is a great way to tune and deepen your improvisational practice.
The fact is we will meet every morning for Kundalini Yoga practice
ALL SUMMER LONG!

You may pay weekly or daily- register early for a private room!
Apply now and join us for our Special Guest workshops
with Nanek Dev Singh,
and Weekend intensives with Kyla Rose Maher (Geet Anand Kaur)

Apply now for Con/VERGE – September 9-21

It is comprised of a period of focused collaborative creation, a weekend of workshops led by selected participants, and final showings open to the public.
While the residency is primarily geared towards the making of performance, artists and art researchers of all disciplines are welcome.
An important part of the Con|VERGE mission is fostering an international network of artists, venues, and producers that support each other’s processes.
“We believe in an arts-making model that is inclusive and expansive, in which artists and arts organizations learn, make, and support each other”
